Postseason

Postseason opportunities in the Great Lakes Alliance (GLA) offer a clear pathway to high-level regional and national competition for both GLA NPL and GLA Premier teams. At the conclusion of the league season, GLA NPL and Premier top-performing teams in each division earn the chance to compete in the GLA Playoffs, held May 30–31, 2026, at the Hall of Fame Village Sports Complex in Canton, Ohio. In the playoff format, the top two teams from each conference face off in semifinals (1st seed vs. 2nd seed from the opposite conference), with winners advancing to the championship game. These playoffs not only determine league champions but also serve as qualifiers for major national events.

GLA NPL Division champions in the 13U through 19U age groups advance to the prestigious NPL Finals, set for late June or July 2026 in Commerce City, Colorado. This national-level event brings together top NPL teams from across the country for a highly competitive championship tournament.

GLA Premier Division champions in the same age groups qualify for the US Club Soccer Midwest Regionals, which will take place in Libertyville, Illinois, in late June. Both pathways offer elite competition and valuable exposure, with the NPL Finals representing the pinnacle of the league’s national platform and the Midwest Regionals serving as a major regional title event within the National Cup structure.
