One Alliance. Endless Opportunities.
About GLA National 1 League
The Great Lakes Alliance National 1 League (GLA N1) represents a major step forward in competitive youth soccer, aligning with the new National 1 League platform developed through the collaboration of US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer. This team-based structure brings together top clubs in a unified, high-level environment designed to elevate competition and create a more connected player pathway. GLA N1 maintains the core principles of meaningful games and appropriate competition while integrating into a broader national framework that enhances visibility, consistency, and postseason opportunities. The result is a streamlined, modern league model that supports long-term player development and aligns with the evolving landscape of elite youth soccer.
GLA N1 operates within Midwest District 1, bringing together clubs from key markets across Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Western New York. This structure creates a strong, competitive footprint with consistent standards of play and meaningful matchups across the district. It also ensures alignment within the broader National 1 League framework, while Greater Cincinnati is aligned with Midwest District 2 alongside Kentucky and Indiana.
